Those who have had the privilege of traveling abroad will often speak of the impact it has had on their lives. We chose the idea “Our Customers, Our Family” to be amongst the Rainforest Cruises core values, as we believe that travelers often comprise a sort of loosely defined “extended family” of people who have seen and appreciated the amazing beauty that the world has to offer.
It is also often said that travel overseas gives one a heightened appreciation of home. The opportunity to look at one’s own roots from a different point of view, and compare with other people’s experiences and reality, is a healthy exercise. Thus, to be part of the Rainforest Cruises ‘family’ only calls for an appreciation of the World around us, and our own part in it.
There is something to be admired in every corner of the earth, our sanctuary just so happens to be the mighty Amazon River.
Rainforest Cruises would qualify (if one were going to quantify) as a small enterprise. Its co-founders, Jeremy Clubb and Miles Buesst, consider themselves to be passionate travelers at heart.We pride ourselves on having experienced, many times over, the adventures and excursions our customers enjoy. Because we are a small company, we are only able to handle a few customers at a time. This means that you receive our undivided attention and first-hand service. Alas, as one would expect, the owners of Rainforest Cruises eventually had to answer the call of the wild, find mates, settle down, and make families. Mixing time between family demands and business concerns means less time spent “in the mud,” and more time on the laptop, but they still have what one could only diagnose as a sickening obsession with travel and adventure. And they are now content to live out this obsession – vicariously – through their clients!
Both Miles and Jeremy have lived abroad longer than in their native countries, and each have children with multiple nationalities, cementing their dedication to being proud citizens of the world. For us, this all supports the notion that our customers are our family. We have been blessed with the possibility to live and grow internationally, and want more than anything to share the richness of experiences with potential customers.
