The Jungle Blog
The Jungle Blog is our way to share opinions, stories, and information related to Amazon River cruises and tours. We use the Jungle Blog to share thoughts in a more subjective fashion, allowing space for personal opinion and reflection. As travelers, it is impossible to visit a new destination, or enjoy an adventure such as an Amazon rainforest tour, without drawing comparisons to our home countries and lifestyles. This, in our opinion, is the best part of traveling abroad, as the perspective one gains from exposure to different cultures helps us to reflect on the good and bad parts of our own. We especially believe that days spent aboard an Amazon River cruise gives travelers much needed down time to take a break and think peacefully about their lives and their role in the world. A tour of the Amazon is a great way to reflect on the delicate nature of the world’s ecosystem, about our family and professional development, or even about future projects. In this way, we enable the Jungle Blog to act as a form of expression or a source of information for what to expect and experience, before and after your Amazon rainforest tour.
Cruise News
Cruise News is another tool we use to write about the Amazon River. Unlike the Jungle Blog, Cruise News is a space for objective news. Here, we post current events positively or negatively affecting the Amazon River such as: new species discoveries, environmental updates, information on local populations or cultures, weather, and much more. Cruise News is a tool travelers can reference to “read up” on what they can expect during their tour of the Amazon. Although this section contains more fact than fiction, we still enjoy writing creative and informative posts which our readers will enjoy. Nearly everyone that travels has a camera attached to their bodies throughout the trip. Enjoying photography, and preserving moments shared abroad is arguably one of the most enjoyable aspects of traveling. Even the most seasoned traveler will still look through new photos taken of destinations they know well with excitement. The Rainforest Cruises photo gallery contains images we have proudly taken ourselves on some of our many Amazon River cruises. Visiting our photo gallery, one will probably notice that we are far from professionals, but deeply enjoy the rewarding experience of forever capturing a special moment during an Amazon tour. We take our time to explain what each image means, and hope that our photographic experiments will inspire travelers to embark upon their own personal photo expedition along the Amazon River.
