View From Peru: An Aussie Aria Amazon Experience
Here is what Australians Rob and Ruth Keller thought of their recent 4-day Aria Amazon cruise in Peru:
"In short, our time on the Aria Amazon was great. It concluded a rather long and hectic South American trip, and the Amazon cruise wonderfully soothed and rested weary souls. The cabin accommodation was delightful with the towel animals and very adequate facilities.
The meals were amazing, as were the staff who changed their clothes as they moved to a different multi-tasking role (serving meals, attending bar, piranha fishing, etc). There was a good range of trips on the Amazon, with extremely well-informed and friendly guides.
Whether it was caimans or giant lily pads, birds or bromeliads, monkeys or sloths – all contributed to a really good time. We loved the piranha fishing, even though I hadn’t caught anything!
I also appreciated a number of the customer services extended to clients: the Airport pick up in comfortable vehicles, and issuing of water and choc bars; the more than adequate quantities and quality of the alcohol (Ruth only drank soft drinks and I an additional few beers and wines - the wine and beer selections were very adequate for my tastes); back-up fly repellent and sun lotions; the Cruise Director’s various roles.
The staff’s routine on the final night highlighting Peruvian culture and songs was delightful, very well done and well appreciated.
We have already spoken well to friends about the excellent service and facilities provided by Rainforest Cruises and the Aria Amazon!"
