General Flight Information
Getting To The Galapagos Islands
The Galapagos Safari Camp Lodge is located on Santa Cruz Island. Flights operates out of Baltra Island (technically Seymour Airport but more commonly referred to as Baltra Aiport - GPS). To get to the Galapagos Islands, you will need to take a flight from Quito (Mariscal Sucre International Airport - UIO) or Guayaquil (Jose Joaquin del Olmedo International Airport - GYE) on mainland Ecuador. You cannot fly direct to the Galapagos Islands from North America.
International Flights to Mainland Ecuador
If you live in North America, there are many direct flights to get you to mainland Ecuador before your cruise:
Direct Flights to Guayaquil from North America: Via Houston, Miami, New York, Montreal, Toronto and other major cities. American Airlines and Continental operate these routes.
Direct Flights to Quito from North America: Via Houston, Miami, New York, Montreal, Toronto and other major cities. American Airlines and Continental operate these routes.

Flights From Mainland Ecuador To The Galapagos Islands
Once you've reached mainland Ecuador, there are three main airlines that fly to the Galapagos Islands, TAME, Avianca and LAN. Most flights to Baltra are from Quito are via Guayaquil (approximately 3.5 hrs), but LAN and Avianca do offer some direct flights (approximately 2 hrs) to Baltra. From Guayaquil, all flights to Baltra Airport are direct (approximately 2 hrs).
It's important to note that virtually all Galapagos Tour Operators require you to book flights with them. This is because they pre-reserve seats on recommended flights that best tie in with their tour itineraries, ensuring the easy coordination of transfers on the islands for all their passengers in one go. Transfer Information
The Galapagos Safari Camp Lodge provides transport to and from Baltra Airport to the Lodge on Santa Cruz Island. Transfer time takes 1 hour from the airport to the camp. Cars, vans or buses are used to transfer guests, depending on the number of guests.
