Delfin Amazon Cruises To Offer Kayak Fishing
| Sports
Delfin Amazon Cruises, with its ongoing commitment to being pioneers in the luxury Amazon Cruise experience, have announced the purchase of a fleet of Native 16" River Kayaks. These new boats will be available on both the Delfin I and the Delfin II as additional excursions while aboard your Amazon riverboat cruise.
The calm waters of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve offer the ideal setting to paddle silently into small creeks and lagoons.
The Native Kayaks are specially designed for fishing, but can also be utilized to glide gently along the remote Amazon tributaries enjoying spectacular scenery. The highlight for many kayakers is the proximity to river dolphins, which often approach the kayaks, as they are naturally inquisitive and are not frightened off by any engine noise.
It is also offers a great opportunity to interact with locals, who are also often on the water in their dugout canoes.
These kayak trips are not fixed into the Delfin itinerary, but are organised on an ad hoc basis during the Amazon cruise, to meet demand and when the conditions are suitable.
If you do want to dabble in a bit of Amazonian angling, bring your rod, as there are expert guides and specific programs designed to help you bag some of the Amazon's champion fish, such as Peacock Bass, Amazon Catfish, and more.
The best fishing is to be had from June through September. Please be advised that a strict policy of catch and release is in operation.
