General Flight Information

Getting To The Ecuadorian Amazon

The Manatee Amazon cruise operates out of Coca airport (Francisco de Orellana Airport – OCC). Coca is a city in the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest that is located at the confluence of the Coca River and the Napo River. To get to the Ecuadorian Amazon, you cannot fly direct internationally to Coca airport. Instead you must first take an international flight to Quito, Ecuador (Mariscal Sucre International Airport - UIO) or Guayaquil, Ecuador (Jose Joaquin del Olmedo International Airport - GYE), and from there you can then take a domestic flight to Coca.

Flights From Quito or Guayaquil to the Ecuadorian Amazon

Once you've reached Quito or Guayaquil, there are two main airlines that fly to the Ecuadorian Amazon, TAME and Avianca. From Quito, the flight to Coca is a quick 30-40 minutes. Whereas, the flight from Guayaquil to Coca is 2 hours and 15 minutes.
