AM: In the morning, get aboard the voodeiras, as the fast boats that travel on the river are called, for a trip to the Anavilhanas National Park. Depending on the season, the scenario is completely different! Guests can enjoy the beautiful beaches with light sand and dark waters during the dry season or the magic of the igapós, during the flood season, when the forest is flooded and the trail is made between the treetops.

PM: In the afternoon, enjoy the beauties of the Amazon! the colors of the sky reflected in the Rio Negro are certainly one of the highlights that make this destination special. It is difficult to describe the shades of pink, lilac, green and blue that mix with the dark and deep green of the forest, mirroring the black waters of the river. The sunset contemplation tour is done in flying boats to the best place among the islands to enjoy the silence, feel the peace and immerse yourself in the Amazonian colors.

Continue the adventure and observe wild animals, remain silent and follow the instinct of the guides who know the region and its secrets. When we find an alligator on the riverbank or are lucky enough to see a sloth in the trees, that's when we understand the grandeur of the forest. As soon as the night arrives, keep looking for nocturnal animals at the Anavilhanas National Park.

AM: Right after breakfast, departure by speedboat to visit the Sobrado community. Upon arrival, a walk along an interpretive trail in a dryland forest until you reach a giant Samaúma , the largest tree species in the Amazon! Return from the trail and traditional lunch of Amazonian fish roasted over coals at the riverside caboclos' house, a true community experience. Then, move to the largest tree in the Anavilhanas igapó, a giant Macucu in Paraná das Araras. Upon returning to the lodge, we will venture into the igapó forest to appreciate the flora and fauna of this ecosystem.

Continue to visit the city of Novo Airão to visit local initiatives for education, conservation and crafts projects. This is a land excursion, carried out in an air-conditioned vehicle, covering short distances within the city of Novo Airão.

Return to the lodge to check out. Transfer to Manaus in an air-conditioned vehicle, for approximately 3 hours.

PM: In the afternoon, discover one of the most surprising attractions in the region! The Grutas do Madadá are rock formations in the middle of the forest, in a more remote region, up the Rio Negro. After breakfast, departure on a flight for approximately 1 hour. Arriving at Casa Rosa, a place with a mini-museum about riverside life and old photos, which is the starting point of the trail. In addition to the stone halls that are the main attraction, the trail that leads to Madadá has several stopping points where guides reveal the secrets of the Amazon fauna and flora. 

The interpretive trail lasts 1:30h (3 hours round trip) on flat terrain. After the walk, traditional caboclo lunch with roasted fish and rest in the bungalow.

– Dry season: On the way back, stop at the beautiful beaches with light sand in contrast to the dark waters of the river, for swimming and contemplation.

– Flood Season: After lunch, stop at a suitable place for recreational piranha fishing. 

Return by flight to the Lodge (1 hour), among the islands of the Anavilhanas National Park.

AM: During the Wet Season, visit the Sobrado community. Interpretative trail in the equatorial forest, visiting the biggest tree species in the Amazon, the Samaúma.

PM: For lunch, Amazonian fish is barbequed in the traditional home of natives. Then shift to the largest tree from Anavilhanas islands, a giant macucu in Parana das Araras. In return to the hostel foray through the flooded forest for flora and fauna explanation of that ecosystem assessment. On the return to the lodge, visit to the Pink Dolphin Floating House. Dinner will be served at the Lodge.

Dry Season

AM: Right after breakfast, get on a speedboat and visit the St. Antonio community and Tiririca community. Interpretative Trail in the equatorial forest.

PM: For lunch, Amazonian fish is barbequed in the traditional home of natives. Then shift to leisure on Tiririca Beach, in the heart of the Anavilhanas National Park. After a refreshing bath, flora, and fauna appreciation of the islands, rapidly shifting to the largest tree from Anavilhanas islands, a giant “macucu”, in the raid on lowland forest and explanation of this peculiar ecosystem.

AM: After breakfast, a speedboat journey for the interpretive forest trail until the Madadá Caves and their halls of stone, this will be a long excursion (around 3 hours) of trekking in the primary forest. Lunch at Caboclo’s straw house. Relax and contemplate in the lookout hammocks, with bathroom and toilet services.

PM: In the afternoon return to the Lodge among the islands of Anavilhanas National Park. Dinner will be served at the Lodge.

Dry Season:

PM: After lunch, visit the Madadá stone formations. This would be a good opportunity to swim if you desire.

AM: Right after breakfast, we head to the Apuaú river by speedboat. After entering the Içana narrow river, we follow up to its main waterfall, with baths, swim in the river, and other water activities, into the Amazonian wild waterfalls tour. For lunch, grilled fish and other dishes will be served in the Jaú National Park jungle bungalow, with a bathroom and kitchen facilities.

PM: After a nap in the hammock, enjoy one-hour trekking excursion in an untouched forest to the waterfall of Thunder Igarapé, another tributary of the Rio Apuaú. Arrive at the place for water activities in the local waterfalls and natural swimming pools. Return to the Jaú National Park jungle bungalow. Enjoy dinner, a campfire, and stories from native folklore.

AM: Wake up with the sounds of the forest and enjoy breakfast! Time at leisure to rest and have fun in the waterfall, pools, and contemplation the nature of the surroundings. On the return by speedboat to the Mirante do Gavião Lodge, lunch will be served at a local Natives site.

PM: Free afternoon to rest and enjoy the recreational areas of the Lodge. Dinner will be served at the Lodge.

AM: After breakfast, City Tour in Novo Airão, with a tour guide. It can be done with the hotel's bikes or motor vehicles. Return to the lodge by 11:00 a.m. to check out. Transfer to Manaus in an air-conditioned vehicle, for approximately 3 hours.
