It’s been seven years since I started helping plan trips to a region which I have loved exploring for the past 15 years. Working at Rainforest Cruises has been a significant part of it to say the least.

What I particularly love about Southeast Asia is its diversity. Say you’re interested in culturally rich itineraries, the Mekong River or Spice Islands would be fascinating options. But, if you’d like to see wildlife, the Komodo Islands are perfect for Komodo dragons. Or if you wanted to see orangutans, a cruise on the Kumai River would be best.

I love how untouched and remote the area still is. Raja Ampat is at the center of the coral triangle, so each dive is breathtaking. The coral gardens are a rare sight, and sharks, manta rays, and sea turtles are abundant. For those who don't scuba dive, this destination has a lot to offer. Pristine white sand beaches, beautiful views of karst islet panoramas, birdwatching, and visiting the Kalibiru river are just some of the activities in store.
