AM: Begin the day early as we collect you from your Manaus hotel or the airport to transfer you to the beautiful Juma Amazon Lodge. After arrival at the lodge, take the time to familiarise yourself with the surroundings, take a tour around the lodge grounds or unpack your belongings as we prepare a delicious lunch.

PM: This afternoon we will take you to the famous meeting of the waters. Here you can choose to take in the beautiful surroundings, spot some wildlife and admire the amalgamation of the rivers meeting point.

AM: On your first full day at the lodge we start the day early taking you out for a beautiful canoe ride in the morning sun. We can take a leisurely stop along the way to view the Sumaúma trees in the area.

PM: This afternoon take a seat with our guides for a lecture on the Amazon rainforest and its flora and fauna. Take this opportunity to ask any questions about what you have seen during your stay or whilst out on your exhilarating excursions. After dinner, we make the most of the evening as we take you on a jungle hike to see all of the creatures that come alive when the sun goes down!

AM: Enjoy your final breakfast at the lodge before we transport you safely back to Manaus.

PM: Be prepared for a long day out as we serve you a picnic lunch in the jungle! Nothing beats tasting the fresh ingredients of the Amazon right in the center of the jungle. After lunch, you will have the opportunity to meet local inhabitants of the Amazon, learn from their daily practices and see how their communities thrive in this special environment.

If you're lucky with your catching, we can take the fresh produce back to the lodge to contribute to tonight's dinner.

PM: This afternoon our canoeing tour provides an in depth exploration of the Amazonian creeks and the flooded forest - an experience only made possible by paddle canoes! During the excursion, guests are encouraged to swim and may encounter some of the river’s most majestic creatures such as the gorgeous pink dolphin.

After dinner we depart on an evening expedition to observe frogs, birds and most importantly, caymans. Our guide uses his flashlight to help spot caymans. With this light, we can see the cayman’s eyes, which reflects a bright red dot, as the animal remains paralyzed and clearly visible. The guide is then able to bring the cayman aboard for participants to see. Afterward, the cayman is returned to the river, unharmed.

AM: We will visit a giant Sumaúma tree, approximately 100 years of age. The Sumaúma tree is recognized as the Amazon’s largest tree species in both height and diameter, reaching up to 40 meters (130 ft).

PM: This afternoon enjoy a tour around the lodge. This tour allows guests to experience Juma, built completely upon stilts, from a unique perspective - underneath. This fascinating approach provides insight regarding the construction of Juma and the role of sustainability within the lodge.
