The name ‘Scubaspa ZEN Indonesia’ perfectly describes this custom-designed phinisi-style sailing boat, which offers luxury diving and wellness safaris in beautiful Indonesia. This 174-foot, two-masted yacht, complete with an onboard spa, yoga sessions and skilled chefs, accommodates up to 20 guests for exciting cruise itineraries to top dive destinations such as the world-famous areas of Raja Ampat, Komodo National Park, and the Banda Sea.
Life on board
On board are nine comfortable cabins and suites, each with private ensuite bathrooms, double or twin beds and individually controlled air-conditioning. The family “Cowrie” cabin has an additional sofa that converts to a third bed. The main deck hosts three suites, while below deck there are a further six suites. Two decks offer opportunities for sunset cocktails, alfresco dining under the stars, and an open-air cinema.
A crew of 25 ensures an elevated staff-to-guest ratio and unparalleled personal service. Two spa therapists, a yoga master, and two gourmet chefs join the highly qualified multilingual dive crew to bring you an unforgettable experience. The open-air restaurant on the main deck serves three buffet-style meals per day, with all dietary needs catered for, while the adjacent bar offers a wide range of spirits, cocktails, beers and an extensive wine list. There is also a live cooking station, manned by the chefs. Every cruise comes complete with a barbeque experience on a remote island.
The onboard 5-star spa on Scubaspa Indonesia is located at the stern in the quietest and most secluded part of the boat. It offers a wide choice of relaxing spa treatments to couples and individuals, including Balinese and Thai massages, as well as hot stone spa rituals. All of the products are made in Bali using organic ingredients, botanical extracts, and essential oils.
Diving and activities
All dive-related activity takes place on a purpose-built Dhoni dive boat, which accompanies the main vessel to ensure that the Scubaspa ZEN boat remains dry and undisturbed by bustle and noise. Carrying all of the equipment, including air and state-of-the-art Nitrox membrane compressors, this 69-foot dive boat features seating, multiple entry points, toilet and shower facilities, and dive gear storage.
If you wish to dive, you will be required to hold an Advanced Open Water certificate, or equivalent, as many sites require experience. You will be well taken care of by the knowledgeable dive masters/instructors and boat crew. Indonesia’s underwater world is home to the greatest marine biodiversity on the globe, and therefore hosts some of the world’s best diving. If you’re a diver, you will get the chance to explore famous dive sites such as Manta Alley, Castle Rock and Blue Magic.
On your voyage, you can visit deserted islands, local villages and idyllic sandbanks, enjoy extraordinary snorkeling on the reefs and explore world-famous dive spots where you’ll encounter manta rays and sharks. For families, fun is paramount, with treasure hunts for the kids, the use of the on-board kayaks and stand-up paddleboards, and fishing in the traditional Indonesian way.
A cruise on the family-friendly Scubaspa ZEN Indonesia is a dream for divers and non-divers alike with ‘active wellness’ packages offering spa treatments, yoga classes and guided snorkeling excursions. Private charters are also available.
