Overview
The Aqua Lares is a stunning 77-meter expedition superyacht built for ultra-luxe, small-ship exploration, carrying a maximum of just 36 guests in 15 elegant suites. Blending historic legacy with contemporary style, this pioneering vessel is the first to offer Indian Ocean expedition cruising through the pristine, biodiverse waters of the Seychelles and coast of East Africa.
Life On Board
Aqua Lares embodies modern expedition elegance. With interiors designed by architects Giacomo and Stefano Mortola, her style blends polished teak, Italian fabrics, hand-crafted ceramics, and contemporary art inspired by the Indian Ocean. The result is a floating ocean oasis with the true spirit of an explorer’s yacht.
Guests unwind across six decks of refined spaces — an infinity plunge pool with panoramic views, open-air lounges, a spa and sauna, a gym, and a cinema. Social areas feel intimate and relaxed, inviting conversation, contemplation, and connection to the sea.
Dining is a centerpiece of life on board. Each menu celebrates the flavors of the region, combining locally sourced seafood, tropical fruits, and East African spices with the precision of world-class gastronomy. Expect freshly caught tuna carpaccio, Seychellois curries with coconut and lime, and inventive tasting menus paired with fine international wines. Meals can be enjoyed alfresco beneath the stars or in the elegant indoor restaurant, where the atmosphere is refined yet unpretentious.
A 32-member crew—including naturalist guides, dive masters, and hospitality professionals—ensures a near 1-to-1 crew-to-guest ratio so that every moment feels effortless. Whether you are returning from a dive or lounging with a cocktail in the Sky Lounge, the service is attentive, genuine, and always personal.
Itinerary Options and Highlights
Aqua Lares sails 5-, 9-, 10-, 11-night, and 14-night expeditions across the Seychelles, Aldabra Atoll, Zanzibar, and the Tanzanian coast. Shorter voyages focus on the idyllic inner islands and coral reefs of the Seychelles, while longer journeys extend to the outer islands and the cultural shores of East Africa.
Highlights include exploring the granitic peaks of La Digue, diving along the Astove Wall, meeting the giant tortoises of Aldabra, and uncovering the spice-route legacy of Zanzibar. Each itinerary balances adventure with indulgence — from guided snorkeling and nature hikes to beach picnics and sunset Zodiac cruises.
The Aqua Lares Experience
A journey aboard Aqua Lares evokes a rare sense of discovery and serenity. Guests sail through some of the most isolated marine sanctuaries on Earth in supreme comfort, surrounded by thoughtful design, fine cuisine, and the vast beauty of the Indian Ocean.
