Sea Pearl

A historic schooner blending 1900s charm with modern adventure across the Seychelles archipelago.

Overview

Step aboard Sea Pearl and leave ordinary travel behind. A traditional topsail schooner turned island-cruising yacht, she invites you to explore the Seychelles’ hidden corners with the comfort of a floating boutique retreat. With a small guest list, friendly crew and casual-luxury atmosphere, Sea Pearl delivers an archipelago journey that’s as much about discovery as about serenity.

The Sea Pearl is a 36-metre, two-masted topsail schooner — a graceful blend of classic sailing heritage and island-adapted comfort. With eight air-conditioned guest cabins (six double-bed cabins, each with an extra bunk, and two twin/bunk cabins), she accommodates up to 20 guests — perfect for intimate group travel or small charter adventures.

Life On Board

Inside, you’ll find a cosy salon/dining room with modern conveniences (TV, DVD, stereo), and on deck — inviting social and relaxation zones: a shaded aft-deck for al-fresco dining, a padded sun-deck, and bow-net hammocks that hang over turquoise water — ideal for soaking up sun, watching seabirds, or simply drifting in the breeze. Service comes from a warm Seychellois crew including a captain, chef, dive instructor, deckhands, and stewardesses — delivering the kind of friendly, personal hospitality that defines small-ship cruising.

The ambiance on Sea Pearl is unpretentious, relaxed and authentic — think barefoot decks, the soft clink of sails, dinner under stars, and sunrise swims in near-deserted coves.

Cabins are simple but comfortable: all are air-conditioned and include a washbasin; bathrooms and showers are shared but cleaned daily, maintaining cleanliness and privacy. The salon gives a cool retreat from sun or salt-air, while the shaded aft deck and open sun-deck provide relaxed spaces for lounging, reading, socialising or pre-/post-excursion meals.

For water lovers, the ship carries diving and snorkelling gear, and a qualified PADI dive instructor guides dives — suitable for both novices and experienced divers. For non-divers, kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkeling equipment offer plenty of ways to engage with the sea. On land, short island hikes, nature reserve visits, or gentle exploration of communities round out the pace.

On Sea Pearl, you’ll likely spend your days diving coral reefs, paddling along coastlines, or strolling shaded island paths — and your evenings lounging under stars, chatting with fellow travellers over Creole meals, or simply drifting in a bow-net hammock as the schooner sways gently.

Voyage Routes & Signature Experiences

Sea Pearl offers year-round small-ship sailing adventures through the Seychelles, with weekly departures tailored to the seasons. From November to April, 8-day voyages set out from Mahé, weaving through the inner islands before looping back. Between May and October, 7-day journeys depart from Praslin, tracing a similar route across granite islands, uninhabited islets, coral shallows, and marine parks—places largely inaccessible without a yacht of this size. Each itinerary blends island-hopping, ocean exploration, and time at iconic natural sanctuaries.

Along the way, guests may wander the primeval Vallée de Mai forest, lounge along La Digue’s impossibly photogenic Anse Source d’Argent, and snorkel reefs teeming with turtles, rays, and reef sharks. Visits to conservation islands such as Curieuse and Aride reveal mangrove ecosystems, giant tortoises, and rare birdlife. For travellers seeking something more tailored, private charters unlock custom explorations—whether deep-dive safaris, dedicated birding itineraries, sportfishing adventures, or hiking-focused journeys for up to 20 guests.

Don’t Just See—Feel It

Embark aboard Sea Pearl and surrender to the slow rhythm of sail, sea, and sand. Drift through turquoise lagoons and hidden coves, dive into vibrant reefs, wander island trails under swaying palms — then return each evening to your schooner, where Creole cuisine, warm laughter, and gentle breezes await under starry skies.

This voyage isn’t solely about seeing the Seychelles but really feeling it: intimate, unhurried, and deeply connected to sea and land. Perfect for couples, small families or friends who dream of barefoot luxury, natural beauty, and an authentic taste of island life.

Itineraries & Prices

All itineraries are subject to change due to seasonal weather conditions (and resultant variations in river and tributary water levels) affecting accessibility to locations. Thus navigation routes, times and excursions may need to be modified at the cruise captain’s or your guide's discretion.
