Where To Stay In Bolivia: The Best Places & Hotels

Colonial Architecture Of The Old Town In Sucre, Bolivia

Visiting Bolivia offers diverse opportunities to experience unique destinations and your hotel stay can be just as unique and memorable as what you see during your vacation. As with most things in the country, accommodation in Bolivia can be excellent value, although finding hotels of a sufficient standard for what most travelers are used to can be particularly tricky, which is why we’ve put together this guide on where to stay in Bolivia for you.

Firstly, a few words of warning. Standards within the same hotel price brackets in Bolivia can vary greatly, and accommodation names such as hotel, hostal, residencial, and alojamiento mean relatively little, so despite the fact virtually all high-end accommodation will call itself a hotel, be advised many basic places do as well. You’ll also want to book early to avoid disappointment during the peak months of July and August, and especially during major fiestas when prices are higher and can often double or treble.

Without further ado, here then are some of the best places to stay in Bolivia, and the best accommodations therein, including high-end camping options, luxurious lodges, and our favorite boutique hotels:
