Cruises for Single Travelers in the Amazon & Galapagos
| Cruise Tips
The vast majority of our cruises throughout all our destinations are sold on a double occupancy basis, with the expectation that there will be two people per cabin. If a single traveler alone wants to book a cabin, they typically have to pay a single supplement fee, the standard being +50% of the per person double occupancy rate. For some of the most luxurious cabin types, or during the high season (especially in the Galapagos), some boats raise this fee to as high as +100%.
But all the single travelers out there should fear not! There are some cruise boats that have made a special effort to accommodate single travelers through offering designated single cabins, allocating some cabins on board that carry no single supplement charge, or allowing the option to share a cabin with a fellow single traveler of the same sex who are also willing to share. If you’re planning a solo river cruising adventure to the Amazon or the Galapagos, read on to learn more about the specific vessels that will help you cut costs and feel right at home!
