Please note that the itinerary below is dependent on the river water level, weather conditions, wildlife behavior, and accessibility to locations, so may vary. Passengers should also be aware that animal sightings cannot be guaranteed due to the unpredictability of wildlife behavior. Departures are only guaranteed with 10+ passengers on board.

3-Day/2-Night Yarapa River Cruise Aboard the Rio Amazonas

Enjoy this unique experience cruising the Amazon River on a historic boat. This 3-day, 2-night cruise itinerary is perfect for those short on time. Enjoy wildlife spotting in the Amazon's pristine and biodiverse forests. Lookout for Pink River Dolphins, Monkeys, Caimans, Piranhas and more. Wake up early to the sounds of the jungle and get your binoculars ready for birdwatching explorations. 

Note: The Rio Amazonas has no set departure dates, there is a minimum of 9 passengers required per departure. Smaller groups (4 - 8 pax) will be moved to the Clavero Amazon Cruise


Pre Extension: Arrive in Iquitos and Casa Morey, Visit Iquitos and Museums with an expert guide.

 

Day 1

9am: Depart Iquitos and travel to Nauta by AC charted bus or taxi. Two hours.

11pm: Arrive at Historic Riverboat. Welcome reception.

1-2pm: Buffet Lunch

4-6pm: Navigate on the Amazon River

6-7pm: Sunset observations. Relax

7-8pm: Buffet dinner

 

Day 2

5-6am: Early Breakfast

6-8am: Morning bird watching from auxiliary boat, enjoy the tropical sunrise in the reserve.

8-9am: Buffet Breakfast

10-12am: Fishing excursions with local fishermen in traditional Amazonian canoes.

1-2pm: Buffet lunch

3-5pm: Treks in the forest with wildlife biologists

7-8pm: Buffet dinner

9-11pm: Searching for caimans and nocturnal wildlife from auxiliary boat with wildlife specialist.

 

Day 3

6-7am: Early Breakfast

7-9am: Buffet Breakfast

9-12am: Visit local Cocama indigenous village, meet the people, learn their culture and dances.

1-2pm: Buffet lunch
