The Pikaia Lodge is located on top of two extinct volcano craters and is surrounded by 31 hectares of lush green forest and savannah. Perched around 450m above sea level, guests at the lodge can look out over much of the island and are treated to unrivalled ocean views. The perfect
tranquillity of the accommodation makes for an ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring the island. This luxury eco-adventure lodge is located centrally on Santa Cruz Island, allowing guests to retrace Darwin's footsteps exploring the best of what the Galapagos Islands have to offer.
There are four different types of rooms in the Pikaia Lodge: Terrace Rooms, Balcony Rooms, Garden Suites and Pool Suites. All have been been designed to encompass style, luxury and comfort. The floor to ceiling windows allow for panoramic views out over the rugged wilderness of the island and fill the room with natural light. The Pool Suite is the popular favorite, nestled on top of the small plateau of the main crater, it is conveniently close to the main building and has a private plunge pool and a shaded terrace with breathtaking unobstructed views.
Adjoining each room is a modern en-suite bathroom, which is decked out with bamboo wood flooring and Peruvian marble. The spacious bathtubs are just one of the many places in the Lodge that guests can turn to for a bit of relaxation. Yet more pampering can be had in the Sumaq Spa, a wellness center that has a large range luxurious spa treatments.
When you feel like kicking back and soaking up some rays, the infinity pool, located on the deck, is the perfect place to lounge. While indoors, there are two lounges to choose from, both of which offer comfy seating in a cosy setting – perfect for a bit of family time, meeting other travellers, writing in your travel journal, or exchanging travel photos.
The lodge's own restaurant, the Evolution Restaurant, offers an impressive view of the pristine Galapagos National Park with mist covered volcanic cones, and other islands in the archipelago. Furnished in a contemporary style with a subtle artistic touch inspired by the evolution of mankind. The restaurant has an air-conditioned walk-in wine cellar, where guests can choose their wines in order to enhance their gastronomic experiences. You can find some of the finest South American wines; from Argentina, the superb Malbecs and from Chile, their sought-after Chardonnays and Carménères.
Travelers who wish to explore the archipelago will be taken out on one of the lodge's three private yachts to explore Santa Cruz Island, North Seymour Island, Bartolome Island, among others!
