Overview
Families, corporate retreats, sales teams, and groups of friends are all invited aboard the 115-foot luxury vessel, the Peralta, for cruises through the Pantanal wetlands. Built in 1989 and remodeled in 2017 with an upscale, modern style, the Peralta features ten suites for up to 20 passengers and combines the comfort of a 5-star hotel with the energy of the Pantanal’s wilderness.
Life Aboard The Peralta
While aboard the Peralta, you may forget you are on a boat. Rather, the Peralta is a refined mobile, floating hotel. When you arrive, settle into your air-conditioned panoramic cabin on the middle deck, where a floor-to-ceiling window provides jaw-dropping views of the river. Then, pop up to the upper deck, grab a drink at the open bar, and relax in a lounge chair on the shaded observation area to watch as the crew casts off and sets sail. For dinner, head to the buffet-style dining area.
The all-inclusive policy means you can indulge to your heart’s content. Fill your plate with Brazilian gastronomy, including fresh fish, native vegetables, local recipes, and fresh acai. On other nights you will have the chance to sample Brazilian barbeque hot off the grill. During your downtime, soak in the pool, work up a sweat in the gym, play board games in the lounge, or stargaze on the deck. You may also participate in onboard activities, such as dance parties and clay modeling.
Excursions From Your Peralta Cruise
The Peralta is a multi-purpose ship providing both upscale fishing trips and ecotourism cruises. There are 269 species of fish in the Pantanal, and during a 5-night / 4-day trip, you will fish for many of them over the course of two days. You will spend your days in 60-horse-power speedboats, each holding a maximum of three licensed anglers. The fishing boats are piloted by expert guides with knowledge of the local fishing grounds. Each fishing boat is stocked with live bait, drinks, lunch, and snacks.
During your ecotourism cruise, you will fall in love with the Pantanal’s lush landscapes, which are home to 4,700 animal species. You will embark on photo safaris, take speedboat trips on the rivers, take nature walks and explore everything that makes the Pantanal such a unique region, all in the company of an expert guide.
Led By Locals
The true experts on the Pantanal are the people who have made their homes in the region for generations. For this reason, the 16-member crew of the Peralta is made of Pantaneiros. The welcoming and engaging crew looks forward to sharing in conversations. Learn about the history of the region, local life, and the realities of living a simple life surrounded by nature from crewmembers who speak Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
For soaking in the peace and tranquility of the Pantanal and having an up-close experience with nature, without sacrificing comfort, make yourself at home on the Peralta.
